PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Design for this project is complete. Project includes road construction, railroad construction, curb, gutter, sidewalks, pedestrian crossing, Arizona Public Service power poles relocation, signal upgrade and all permanent signing and signal work. Relocate the nose of the median curb on Grand Avenue to avoid interference with the southbound lanes on Dysart Road. Install a curbed decorative paved median island at the intersection of Santa Fe Drive and Dysart Road. The improvements will upgrade the intersection of Dysart Road and Grand Avenue (US 60) by widening Dysart Road to accommodate two through lanes in each direction, left turn lane in each direction and one right turn lane in each direction.

PROJECT UPDATE
CURRENT PROJECT STATUS
Project will be constructed in three phases due to BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) and ADOT (Arizona Department of Transportation) coordination. The construction of Phase I commenced October 5th.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
Phase I is expected to be complete by the end of November, at which time BNSF will start the construction of new crossing arms. Ongoing coordination with ADOT, the U.S. Post Office, and businesses on the east side of the project continues.
