PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project consists of a two million gallon per day (MGD) Modular Design Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) for Special Planning Area (SPA) 2. The Location is 15667 W. Planada Lane. This project will increase the overall SPA 2 capacity from 1.2 MGD to 3.2 MGD and will facilitate the ultimate phased build out of 12 MGD.

PROJECT UPDATE
CURRENT PROJECT STATUS
Aeration basin wall segments 7 B&C, 6 B&C and 5 B&C have been poured. Wall segment 2 B&C are being formed. Backfill was placed along the east wall of the aeration basin. The membrane basin slabe on grade, north wall and segments a,b,c & d were poured. The base of the influent pump station and two barrels have been coated, set and backfilled. The conduit for Arizona Public Service (APS) power and Qwest communication has been installed. Contractor began drilling vadose well #4. Membrane blowers and compressors were delivered and stored.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
Aeration basin wall segments 2 C&B are being formed to pour early November. Work continues on wall segments, 3 C&B and 4 C&B. Work on the inlet channel wall segments is scheduled for completion in November. Work will begin to extend the 8-inch water main into the plant area. Drilling the vadose wells will continue.
