PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A new 15 acre Public Works Yard in conjunction with Water Services' SPA 3 (Special Planning Area) Waste Water Treatment Plant. The yard to include a 6-8 bay vehicle maintenance facility for light and heavy vehicles, streets and sanitation vehicle parking and storage yard, sanitation vehicle wash racks, administration building for Public Works field staff, storage facilities for Public Works and Traffic Engineering signage and signals and fueling location for city vehicles.

CURRENT PROJECT STATUS
The city has decided to forgo the purchase of the additional land adjacent to the SPA 3 site. The funding identified for the purchase of the land will now be reallocated for improvements on the existing SPA 3 site to meet the needs of the Public Work's functions. |
WHAT'S NEXT
In order to determine what facilities will be placed at the SPA 3 yard, a program of requirements and site master plan will need to be developed. Staff will begin the process of soliciting for a consultant to assist us with both. |
