PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Design and installation/construction of fiber optics for the connection of traffic signals, CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras, and changeable message signs. Greenway Road, from Grand Avenue to Cotton Lane, was proposed for MAG (Maricopa Association of Governments) funding requested for FY2008, but received MAG approval for FY2010.

PROJECT UPDATE
CURRENT PROJECT STATUS
Final plans and specifications have been submitted to Arizona Department of Tranportation's (ADOT) contracts and specifications section for review. FHWA has authorized funds for this project and a project manager for contracts and specifications has been assigned. Initial Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) has been recieved and is under department review. Design final completion has been delayed awaiting ADOT approval.
WHAT'S NEXT
Review the IGA and submit to the city attorney's office. Finalize the bid package with the ADOT contracts and specifications group.
