PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Design and installation/construction of fiber optics on Litchfield Road from Greenway Road to Peoria Avenue for the connection of traffic signals, CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) cameras, and changeable message signs.

PROJECT UPDATE
CURRENT PROJECT STATUS
The 95% plan submittal was sent to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) for final review, clearances and approval. Staff is working with ADOT on the intergovernmental agreement that will be presented before Mayor and Council for approval. Plans have been combined with the Peoria Avenue fiber project.
 
WHAT'S NEXT
The consultant will finalize design plans once ADOT has provided review comments, and then will secure the advanced CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality) funding and begin construction.
