PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The project will consist of constructing an underground retention system within the future parking lot of the church property. The retention system will consist of 96 inch Corrugated Metal Pipes (CMP) and drywells. The retention system will convey to El Mirage Road which ultimately drains to the El Mirage Wash. This site is located on Jerry Street between Ironwood Street and Ocotillo Street. This location is a low point where storm water run-off accumulates in the streets. As the water rises, local residences experience flooding. The completion of this project will eliminate the flooding concerns of local residents. The ponding problems will be relieved by providing positive drainage to El Mirage Road.

CURRENT PROJECT STATUS
The project team has performed a final constructability review. The engineer of record is correcting the construction documents prior to the plans being advertised for bid.

WHAT'S NEXT
The engineer of record should be complete with the correction of the design documents in August. At which time the plans will be prepared for solicitation. Solicitation of the project is anticipated to occur in September. |
