PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The city has received an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) for the installation of Photovoltaics (PV) on top of the parking garage at new City Hall. The PVs will be constructed as part of vehicle shade structures. The energy generated from the PVs will be used to offset energy provided by the utility provider.

CURRENT PROJECT STATUS
On October 22nd, the Mayor and Council approved the contract for LSW in the amount of $67,250 for the solar design for New City Hall and energy audit services for existing city facilities. In addition, the city has received word from the Department of Energy (DOE) that it has received its first portion of its American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) Grant funding. |
WHAT'S NEXT
The project team will spend much of November developing the program of requirements to meet the city's and the grant's expectations. |
